Born 1962 in South Shields

Joined RAF in 1981 and spent 22 years as an Electronics Engineer living and working in places like Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Somerset, Cyprus, Belize and more

Returned to South Shields in 2001 and after retiring from the RAF in 2003 started a degree in Contemporary Photographic Practices at the University of Northumbria in Newcastle Upon Tyne

On completion of the degree trained as a teacher and graduated in 2008 from the University of Sunderland with a PGCE for use in further and higher education

Now works as a lecturer at South Tyneside College in South Shields
